'Boyle' typeset brc on too dark an area to show up well. Main colours: black, red, brown and beige in face and hair, blue eyes. Bled off top, right and bottom edges - narrow left hand border printed black to blend in with portrait background.

p 87 [tr ed p 109] - 'It was my first meeting with Boyle. He had done much in the beginning of the revolt, and was to do much more for the future . . .'

p 124 [tr ed p 143] - 'He was a very professional officer, alert, business-like and official; sometimes a little intolerant of easy-going things and people. Red-haired men are seldom patient. "Ginger Boyle", as they called him, was warm.'
